I want to personally thank you for your donation
which helped us send eight people to Guatemala in July, 2007. The
gifts were amazing; we were able to raise $11,000 for our trip and
another $8,000 for supplies.
Colby Dental had a Fishing Derby Fund Raiser,
which was a huge success. Over $2,300 was raised by a bunch of fishermen
who were out fished by a 12 year old girl.
 All
of our fundraising efforts enabled us to go to Zacapa, Guatemala.
Over 1,400 children were treated with exams, varnishing and cleanings.
Unfortunately for the children, the water is so bad that they drink
pop. It is only 10 cents a bottle. Most times babies are put to
bed with pop or coffee with sugar.
I, myself, was able to extract approximately
450 teeth. It was a stretch and the conditions were insane, but
each day we persevered and got the job done.
It was such a blessing to do this, and I am
honored to have gone on behalf of all people involved. I want to
again give thanks and suggest that you go on a trip soon. Since
this trip was such a success and because of the impact it had on
everyone involved, especially my daughter and my niece, I may be
going to the Dominican Republic, Roatan or Rwanda in the coming
year, if everything falls into place. If you are interested in going
on a trip, give me a call. A few fundraisers in the coming year
are possible to help subsidize our trip
